THINKING OF HOMELAND is an art project that sets of prints to benefit the Japan Red Cross.

20 artists who lives outside of Japan joined this project. I draw a big Lucky cat, Maneki Neko.
This massive cat is in action to change the situation, no longer siting at front of the shop window.
I think lots of people in Japan after the earth quakes has got the cat in their mind.

I went Berlin last week. I ate Chill con carne with bread. Also I tried something I haven't taste before. Potato and cucumber with fresh dill source hot pot. Hot cucumber was very strange. I wasn't sure if I liked it or not.

Octopus burger at White trash first food, Shonhauser allee 6 Mitte. The octopus was way bigger than I thought but it was very soft and yummy. Recommended.

Cats and mice mash-marrow. You probably imagine how it tastes like. It's nothing special than the look of it.

Bear marzipan. It's cute how it's bit burned.

When the earthquakes happen, It was a few days before I was in Aix en Provence.
It's an disaster I've never seen before in my life and totally shocked by that.
It was kind of good to do the cube project to calm down and pull myself, then a few days later my friend asked my to do the fundraiser ART FOR JAPAN at Mill.co. It's obviously amazing idea!

I sold my pins and postcards at Aix en Provence festival and my webshop.
Total sales is 127.50 EURO + 23.55 Pound!!!
All of this will be donate to Japan Red cross or other NPO which will be selected soon.
I will donate those at same time as ART FOR JAPAN at Mill.co.

Middle of the week of my staying in Aix.
I'm kind of start to worrying if I can finish the project.
Thought a week is plenty but not really!!

Manu is setting the light in the cube.

Zeina Abirached's cube is B&W, beautifully simple drawing of houses.
But there is protest inside!

Alban Guillemois's cube is big mechanical elephant. Such an amazing idea!
The interior is full of fantasy objects and you can see his short animations.

Martes Bathori is making big pig with cardboard. It was impressibly quick & beautiful.
It looks like a wooden sculpture.
He'll beat everyone if there is any cardboard animal making competitions.

Moolinex has embroidery toilet cover. "Hello to an artist, good bye to friend.
The cube is covered by his artwork.
He's the one finished cube marathon first!

Marijs Bouloqne is helping Jimmy Pantera's Lucha libre exhibition.

Kanazawa and Goshoyama Trip

I did a short trip to Kanazawa and Goshoyama(Shirakawago).
I took a Bullet train to Echigo Yuzawa then change to Kanazawa.
Here the bento box I ate. There is Egg, Mushroom, cod row and Pollock row on top of the rice.

I ate a fish testicles, sea cucumber, searchin and balloon fish in this trip. Yummy.

A Japanese In, Yogetsu. Very nice service and big clean room.
It's in the middle of Geisha district, Higashi chaya.
Only 4500yen par night without breakfast.

Night in north part of the city.

An old Samurai house, Nomurake.

Took couch to Shirakawago, National heritage village.
Then took a local bus to Goshoyama, Aikura.

Had a dinner with everyone who stayed at inn, Yomokichi.
Ate fish from river, carp sashimi and vegetables from mountain.

He has broken tail that I need to fix it somehow.

Japan trip

I went to Japan over new years.
First Okayama, Tokyo, Kanazawa, Shirakawago and Gosyoyama.

The last two destinations are very cold and had lots of snow.

Here are the paper made dolls which supposed be a pair of dogs.People put those next to kids bed and believed those will keep bad dreams away.

This is Mako chan. My favorite cat ever.

Y-front mouse and the twins's models

I start to make models of Y front mouse and the twins.
The base is made by wire and foamed styrol then put air-dry stone clay.
I used [New Fand] Japanese modeling clay.

When it got dry, polish with sand paper. I spend 2-3day to polish and it's never finished.

Thames tunnel

I've been to London Open House this September. I know it's long ago.

Here are the photo of inside of the Thames Tunnel that was made by Marc Brunel.
I recommend to come early. It was kind of popular and I wait in the ques forever.

It used be an entrance of the tunnel, now that's already filled and it's a huge cylinder shaped space.

The people from Burnel Museum explained how hard and costy to make the tunnel that even didn't work for transporting goods. They run out the money to put the lift in the end.
So, they open as a amusement centre, has a souvenir shop and even dinner party over there.

After the interesting talk inside of the tunnel, people want to get out as soon as they can. Whaaaa!

It's a magazine I picked up at my local pub, The Elderfiled.
Boris Johnson and Ale man on the cover and all articles are about drinking of course.
I like the image of woman with a pint glass. She looks very energetic and clever.
I kind of understand the feeling of that, when I drink a few pints of Ale.

Raki and nuts on ice

I went a fish restaurant in Turkey, drink tukish spirit "Raki". It's like a pastis, aniseed flavored strong drink for Ottman turks! This drink come with ice frosted bucket and nuts with ice. So you can enjoy cold drink with cold almond.

Also I bought a candy frost with pistachio nuts.
It looks bit dirty but taste good.

I decorate my christmas tree with it.

It's a drawing of Fox's wedding for Outline editions exhibition.
"Fox's wedding" is a saying in japanese means Raining and sun shining at same time.

Foxes rarely have a wedding so the strange weather too.

I'm just back from Bassillac BD festival in France.
It's very small town with lovely nature, delicious food and really nice people.
Thanks Juline and everyone who joined the festival.
I had a great time there.

I especially liked my encounter with Coypu, Ragondin in French,ヌートリアin Japanese.

Also I saw a goose in the hotel garden. He was casually walking down at a car parking space.
I really hope the amazing Fois Gras that I ate the night before wasn't his friend.

Archi & BD - La ville dessinée.
It tells you about the relationship between Architecture and BD, from Little nemo to Japanese Manga.

I especially liked the tower.

I like characters of birds with guns.

I was drawing in my garden this weekend.
A pigeon dropped poo on my drawing, I looked up the tree and could see the pigeon's bum hole.
I've never looked at a pigeon from this angle.
I was quite surprised by the view but also I was very, very angry.
